Since 2021, The Quality Group has united the ESN and More Nutrition brands under one roof. We aim to offer our customers premium products for health, enjoyment, and performance. We pursue this goal with great passion and have developed a unique business model based on direct-to-consumer and social commerce. We develop our products ourselves and manufacture the majority of them in our own production facilities, with the remainder produced in partnership with excellent partners, all while adhering to the highest quality standards.

The Quality Group operates two core brands:
ESN: As the German market leader in sports nutrition, ESN has been the brand for high-performance sports since its founding in 2007. ESN offers a wide range of products such as protein powders, protein bars, and sports supplements to support ambitious training goals and enhance individual athletic performance. As an established brand with its own production facilities in Germany, ESN offers only the highest quality foods and supplements, Made for Athletes.
More Nutrition: Founded in 2017, More Nutrition is the leading provider of healthy, reduced-sugar nutrition products and weight-loss supplements in Germany. The company offers a wide range of low-calorie, high-protein products and supplements to enable a healthier life without deprivation or compromise.
With annual revenues exceeding €680 million in 2023, The Quality Group is on a strong growth trajectory with solid profitability. The company is led by a first-class management team: Since 2022, The Quality Group has been jointly owned by its founders, an experienced management team, and CVC Capital Partners, one of the world's leading private equity investors. CVC's network comprises 25 locations worldwide, making it one of the largest and longest-established private equity networks. CVC specializes in partnerships with founders and families, aiming to further develop and improve their businesses, with ESG at the heart of their corporate DNA. In the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), CVC is known for its investments in companies such as Evonik, Douglas, and Breitling, and for its long-standing partnership with the RAG Foundation.

Our leadership team
Heikki Takala has been Managing Director of The Quality Group since May 2024, bearing overall responsibility for the company, its continuous development, and international expansion. As an experienced leader, he brings a global perspective and extensive expertise in successfully building international brands and organizations, and has been a member of The Quality Group's Advisory Board since 2022. Having previously spent 18 years at P&G in various pan-European and global leadership positions, Heikki achieved industry-leading results as CEO of Amer Sports, which boasted a portfolio of world-class sports and sports lifestyle brands such as Arc'teryx, Salomon, Wilson, Atomic, and Peak Performance.
